Inspired by the striking architecture of a bird-watching tower in The Netherlands,  The Steltloper captures a unique intersection of nature and human design. Situated on a man-made island within a man-made lake, the structure’s dramatic angles and resilient presence demanded a bold, artistic interpretation.

This piece celebrates the tower as a solitary figure that weathers the elements, admired from afar for its sharp, uncompromising silhouette. It remains one of my personal favourites to date, translating the physical strength of the building into a vibrant explosion of geometric form and colour.
