Though one of my smaller works, this piece is designed to pack a significant colourful punch. I wanted to create an original artwork specifically for smaller living spaces that refuses to compromise on impact. At 40 x 50 cm, it is the perfect size for an intimate nook while remaining a vibrant focal point.

The composition draws on my Dutch heritage, featuring the end of a traditional canal—a sight so familiar in the Netherlands. This is reimagined within a colourful, blocked landscape teeming with life, from sturdy ships on the water to a hot air balloon drifting through a faceted sky. It is a compact celebration of colour, geometry, and the local landscape.
